An evening of Borderless Wine

Borderless Wine is the work of former Michelin Star sommelier Peter Weltman. It all started when he began to question: “Is wine important? Does wine matter?”

Drawing on lessons from his work in Muslim/Jewish interfaith through the American Jewish Committee (AJC), as well as with other global advocacy groups, he began to shift his focus about wine and the business as a whole. With that he created Borderless Wine.

Come join Refinery members on Monday, June 24, from 6 to 8 at Beit Rima restaurant for a spirited discussion led by Peter Weltman. (Beit Rima will be opening specially for us.) We'll taste amazing wine, eat delicious Arabic comfort food, hear some of the inspiring stories behind what we're tasting, and along the way, he'll share how he broke through fears and biased conditioning to reshape the wine business. Seriously good stuff.  More here, along with your RSVP link.

VIP Receptions at SEED + TRANSFORM

2 Special Receptions the week of May 20.

SEED: On the night of May 20, in conjunction with the SEED conference (put on by members Tim Freundlich, Marie Haller, with Beth Stelluto and Janine Firpo), we're throwing a special meet and greet with a hand-selected set of social entrepreneurs who'll talk about what they're doing and how it matters.

To get you warmed up, why don't you attend SEED's Angel Tank, where 6 incredible ventures share their 5 minute pitches with attendees and an expert five person panel of impact angel investors. The angels offer their advice, their support and ultimately a vote for the top two to receive $10,000 each in investment capital. YOU get to vote too. This should be very cool and a perfect lead-in to the VIP reception. Want free tickets to Angel Tank? Click here.

For the Reception, RSVP HERE

TRANSFORM: We’re thrilled to host author, activist and entrepreneur John Kluge, who among other things is the founder of the Refugee Investment Network. He'll be sharing his inspirations, vision and and work on building opportunities for refugees around the world.

If you haven't yet purchased your tickets for TRANSFORM and would still like to go, we're saving some spaces for Refinery members. Please email Team@therefinferyexperience.com and we'll provide you with our special discount code.

Make a night of it and join the main party afterwards: think taco trucks, good beer and more.

RSVP HERE

With thanks to our sponsors, Fort Point Beer, and Bee Hunter Wine.
